Water & Bridges
Deep rivers and alpine lakes naturally block rail laying. Only designated wooden or stone bridges allow crossing—and they must be traversed strictly in a straight line.
Mountain Tunnels
Impenetrable mountain cliffs cannot be crossed directly. Finding a stone tunnel portal transports your railway line beneath the mountain to re-emerge at its paired exit portal.
Slippery Ice
On frozen alpine lakes and arctic sheets, rails are slippery. A train entering an ice tile cannot brake or change direction—it must slide straight through to the opposite edge.
Numbered Waypoints
Railway timetables demand strict order. Numbered station signposts mandate that your continuous track visits each stop in strict ascending order (1 → 2 → 3) before reaching the destination.
Level Crossings
In complex junctions, lines must cross. Painted diamond crossings allow two separate, straight lines to cross perpendicularly without forming illegal loops or dead-ends.
