1. Overview & App Privacy Nutrition Label
In accordance with Apple’s App Store Privacy Guidelines, the privacy practices of Train Tracks are categorized as:
Apple App Privacy: “Data Not Collected”
The developer does not collect any data from this app. Train Tracks does not collect your name, email, physical location, device identifiers (IDFA), contacts, browsing history, or gameplay diagnostics.
2. Offline-First Architecture
Train Tracks is completely playable without an internet connection. All game mechanics, levels, custom board generation, and historical train unlocks run entirely locally on your device.
3. Apple iCloud Synchronization
If you are signed into an Apple ID with iCloud enabled on your device, Train Tracks uses Apple’s native CloudKit framework to securely synchronize your game progress:
- What is synced: Completed levels, star ratings, unlocked locomotives, and custom game settings.
- Where it is stored: Exclusively within your private Apple iCloud container, encrypted by Apple during transit and at rest.
- Developer access: We (the developer) do not have access to your Apple ID, your identity, or the files within your private iCloud container.
- How to disable or delete: You can disable iCloud sync for Train Tracks at any time in your device’s Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud. You can also delete your saved iCloud game data directly from your device’s iCloud storage management settings.
4. In-App Purchases & StoreKit
If you choose to unlock the full game or additional content, transactions are processed directly by Apple via the App Store (StoreKit).
- All financial transactions, credit card handling, and billing inquiries are managed securely by Apple.
- Train Tracks receives only an anonymized cryptographic receipt confirming purchase status so that your purchase can be unlocked and restored across all your devices.
- We do not receive or store your billing address, credit card numbers, or bank details.
5. Third-Party Tracking & Advertising
- Zero Advertising SDKs: There are no third-party banner ads, interstitial video ads, or rewarded ads in Train Tracks.
- Zero Telemetry or Analytics: We do not include Google Analytics, Firebase, Meta Pixel, Adjust, AppsFlyer, or any behavioral telemetry frameworks.
- App Tracking Transparency: Because we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, we do not request IDFA permissions.
6. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Train Tracks is suitable for players of all ages, including children under 13. We strictly adhere to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple’s Kids Category App Store standards. We do not collect, request, or share any personal information from children.
